The law should protect the innocent, not shelter animal abusers. Stand up against “Ag Gag” laws.

Democracy Now reports:
“So-called ‘ag-gag’ bills that criminalize undercover filming on farms and at slaughterhouses to document criminal animal abuse are sweeping the country. Five states, including Missouri, Utah and Iowa, already have such laws in place. North Carolina has just become the latest state to consider such a law, joining a list that includes Arkansas, California, Indiana, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Vermont.”
And the New York Times reports the same thing.
This is so wrong. How is it possible in the “land of the free” that documenting and reporting a crime can BE a crime? This is Orwellian and mindbogglingly wrong. Please, people in states that have these laws or are contemplating these laws – Missouri, Utah and Iowa, already have such laws in place – North Carolina, Arkansas, California, Indiana, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Vermont are contemplating – CALL and WRITE and EMAIL your state legislators today and stop these awful Ag Gag laws.
